Hi Sean

That is an amazing story. Twitter comes to the rescue.

I haven't started with Twitter except for all of the tweets I have put on in this competition (close to 500 now) but I have lots to learn and have the Ultimate Twitter Guide which I am going to read at my leisure after the comp.

Hi Sean,
A very good point that you make about newspapers being yesterday's news. They're not that accurate of an account either, in many cases. Twitter on the other hand supplies up to the minute happenings as they occur. The old outdated newspaper can not compete with this type of efficiency.

Who wants yesterdays news...not me, what good is that?!

I can see Twitter being a threat to the existing newspapers and put them out of business unless this type of media can move forward with current trends.

Hi Sean,

This is an amazing story. It just shows how powerful social media is. It's awesome to see Twitter and Facebook used for something good. I'll have to remember this the next time I need an ambulance.

It can be put to good use, but there are also idiots who use Twitter's viral nature to do crazy shit. Like that dude on Twitter recently who was urging for Obama's assassination. Freak. Front page Digg story today, with 1009 Diggs and 373 comments as I write this.

The good thing is Cemil, that the general population can now express their views globally, and provide up to the minute news that could help others.
Regards - Sean
