Internet Marketing can be a great boon to your business. It can also take a great chunk of your time. There are always dozens of things you can be doing to market your online business but it shouldn’t turn into a full-time job if that’s not what you want.
It is difficult to achieve an appropriate balance between making money, marketing your business, and having some time left over for personal concerns. Here are some tips for saving time on two big tasks: ads and emails.
Analyse Your Success
Include a periodic analysis as part of your task list. Determine which forms of internet marketing have been working, and which have not. This will help you to decide where your focus should be in the future and which areas might need some tweaking.
Automate Tasks With An Autoresponder
Whenever possible, use tools to automate processes such as communicating with customers and prospects. There are many options available online, both as paid software and free programs.
Autoresponders are a great way to ensure that your most common customer requests are fulfilled immediately. If someone signs up as a subscriber, use an automated program to send a welcome message. If you receive a request for more information, create a brochure that can be sent via email to the address supplied.
An autoresponder program can also be used to send out email newsletters and other forms of communication that you can plan well in advance. You can easily set up a sales funnel that takes a new prospect through the whole sales process without your intervention!
Paid autoresponder software programmes that have received high marks for ease of use and functionality include “GetResponse Plus” and “AWeber”. While the most established, AWeber, requires a monthly subscription, some others can be purchased for a single fee.
Most have a free trail available on their websites so you can try before you buy or you can start with a programme like EZEzine which is free for the lite edition (up to 200 subscribers with limited functionality) and when your Internet Marketing business grows, you can opt to upgrade.
Advertising Tools
If you are already utilising a Google Adwords campaign, you can increase your productivity by using the editor function for other search engine campaigns.
For instance, create a new advertising campaign based on your selected keywords with the Adwords editor. Save it in draft mode and then export “Current Campaign” as a .csv file. You can open this file in a spreadsheet program and tweak it a bit for use with Yahoo or MSN. You can also copy ads to test them in different markets. There is no need to write new ad copy when you can simply use copy and paste.
The Adwords editor works to easily change the bids on keywords. You can sort the keywords in each of your adgroups according to activity. By selecting all of those which are inactive, you can change your bid with one click.
Learn how to maximise the benefits of your Internet Marketing by prioritising, focusing, using automation, and copying your advertising campaigns. By using these time management tips you may be amazed at just how much time is freed up to pursue other tasks related to your business success.
Have a most outstanding day.

Hi Sean,
Thanks for the great tips. I’ll be looking to automate as much as I can in the future so I’m free to concentrate on finding niches and products, working on my SEO, and whatever else I don’t want to outsource.
Hi Sean
Great tips which I will be looking at to automate as much as possible. Just like the social media tools that can save time.
I am seeing that quite a few of the tools for doing several tasks at once or posting to several sites at once will free up time to concentrate on the things that matter
Hi Sean,
Again great many tips every read. I’ve just learnt about “Autoresponders”. I’m really going to gather/learn more of this interesting subject and seriously put it into practise. Right now its a learning phase for me and I’m already excited.
Thanks

Hi Sean
It is very important to me to be a master of time management so anything that saves time is welcome as long as I don’t cut the quality.
I am definitely an autoresponder fan and intend to set this up once I get going.
I don’t really understand the Adwords editor so have saved this onto a word doc to revisit after the comp and actually work through it.
Your article is full of great ideas to save time. Thankyou.
Hi Sean
There is another service like Aweber that Cemil gave me the name of.
It is a free service called mailchimp.com. You can have up to 500 subscribers and 3,000 emails per month, no monkey business either (lol)
There is a Wordpress plugin available wich can be downloaded and installed from their website.
Cool information Elley…got to love free services
Saving time is always a bonus no matter what sort of business you are doing, as there always seems a never ending list of jobs to do. Thanks for the time saving tips with the Google Adwords “Keywords”.
Hi Sean,
It’s important to analyse the success of what I’m doing when selling products or services online. The tips in this article are so helpful, thank you.
First chance I get I’ll be trying out the autoresponder for managing emails. If I start now setting it up it’ll be ready when things gets busy.
