in Time Management Tips

Online BusinessOnce you start to become an online success, you can quickly find that there don’t seem to be enough hours in the day to get it all done. Here are some helpful tips to maximise your day by getting some things to run practically on autopilot in your Online Business.

Whether you need help day to day or plan to be away for a holiday or business trip, the following tips can help tings run smoother for you.

Support Ticket System

If your website receives a lot of queries, have a ticket system set up to reply to your inquirers and to manage the process for you. This way you can ensure you manage all queries and track your results.

Autoresponders

Autoresponders are email programs that happen in sequence based on an automated schedule. New opt ins and new clients can be added to an autoresponder series that sends e-mails out for you.

You can write and program the emails in advance and the system will follow up with your list about potential purchases, repeat business, etc. This helps you ensure you stay in touch with new and potential customers without your having to remember to manually do this. It’s a good idea to have various autoresponders set up for various tasks, customers, and marketing initiatives.

A Virtual Assistant

You can hire a personal assistant or virtual team members to do various things for you on a day to day basis to keep your Online Business running smoothly. You can hire people to do your accounting, your website maintenance, manage your schedule, do your data entry, etc.

Automated Reminder Lists

Taking a moment to add something to an electronic reminder now will help to keep your Online Business organised later on. You can have your PDA / phone beep with the reminder if you like.

A Central Email System

Instead of logging into your domain’s email, your Gmail account, and countless others, centralise everything. You can auto forward email accounts to one location to keep things simple.

Email Folders

Organise your email with folders or labels (in Gmail) so you can find things quickly. You can even auto organise so that specific types of emails get automatically filed until you’re ready to read them.

Out Of Office Assistant

Your email can tell people when you’re out for an extended amount of time and can even forward your messages to someone else to read for you when you’re unavailable. Making use of this feature can definitely help you stay organized.

Of course your expertise and participation in your Online Business is paramount to its success but there are techniques and tools you can use to help you run your business smoothly, without spending 80 hours a week on it.

Have a most outstanding day.

Hi Sean,

Again, this is excellent advice that I can’t implement just yet. My business doesn’t require it at the moment, but, one day soon it will. :)

Hi Sean

I’m not ready for some of these systems but will implement when I am ready. One that I do use is the labels in Gmail. I find it a godsend and manages all the emails coming in. I found out about it when I was subscribed to one internet marketer who put up a video explaining it all. Another feature I like in Gmail is having the spam folder where it auto deletes the contents of the folder after a month. Don’t even have to think about it.

This gives my hope to be able to automate a lot of things when things start taking off with my online business. I already have auto responders for opt in boxes on my website, now I just have to get people to join them to put it to good use. Using your SEO tips I am slowly getting a bit of traffic.

I love the idea of a virtual assistant to put my online business on autopilot. Have heard about that already a couple of times, but I will have to digg deeper into that I guess, also regarding cost.

All of these ideas are great and it is also good to know that in the future when I have my online businesses up and running I can go on holidays and relax and they will virtually take care of themselves.

Now that is what I call a passive income. Thank you.

I look forward to the day when i have to use a VA for queries etc. In the meantime, my email address is enough. Obviously, am not inundated!
