AIDA is the marketing acronym used to describe:
Attention
Interest
Desire
Action
Remembering AIDA in your written marketing campaigns can help you sell to people online. Consider following an AIDA checklist to ensure you’ve covered the following areas.
Attention
First, get their attention. You can do this through banners, large fonts, photos, and catchy headlines.
Interest
Then you’ve got about a nanosecond to capture their interest. In your first paragraph you need to grab attention so that people will stay with you until you can pitch them.
Desire
Next is working on creating the desire in your reader to solve a problem, save time, save money, earn money, etcetera. You need to play on the strengths, features, and benefits of what you’re trying to sell to help the reader desire your product.
Action
Finally, you want people to: Act Now! Buy this product before this offer expires, buy this product so you can get the great results mentioned on this page, etcetera.
Remembering this acronym when doing copywriting can help you convert more browsers to buyers!
