Jazz Up Your Site and Make More Sales

site designIf you want people to click your links and buy the stuff you’re selling, you want visiting your site to be a pleasant experience.  Think like a real estate agent and go for some curb appeal to get people in the buying mood.

Here are some tips in terms of design that can help you up your conversion rate.

White Space

Does your site have sufficient white space around it? By that, I mean that if it’s all crowded and everything is densely piled on the page, it can be a turn off. Break up your text into smaller paragraphs and add some subheadings so people can quickly scan the page and something interesting will actually pop out.

Too Much Advertising?

How much is too much in terms of ads? It’s a good idea to experiment and there probably isn’t a right or wrong answer but if people are inundated, they might not know where to click. The adage of “Less is More” can often be true in terms of advertising.

Photos

A picture can speak a thousand words. If you want people to think money, maybe you should have a picture of dollar signs. If you want them to think financial freedom, a nice yacht in the background might work well. Besides, plain text can be…boring.

Have a look at some sites in your niche that are doing really well and see what makes them look good. Study their copy, look at their design and dabble a little. If you have regular visitors, it wouldn’t even hurt to poll them on what they like and don’t like about your site design.

Have a most outstanding day.

When you first set up a new website it’s natural to do all you can to make sure as many people as possible see it. Over time you learn that a small amount of targeted traffic is better than a large amount of visitors from all directions – many of whom don’t have any interest in your site.

Streams of Targeted Traffic

Internet TrafficBut you can easily become a victim of your own success. When your efforts result in a steady stream of targeted traffic it’s all too easy to sit back and relax, watching that steady stream continuing to come in. That is fine, but why don’t you aim for the next level and try and find more streams of targeted traffic to add to it?

You probably already know that the more people you can get to visit your site who have an interest in what you want to sell, the more sales you will make. That much is obvious, and you’ll get a much higher conversion rate of visitors into sales than you will from a general audience, who mostly just sucks up your bandwidth each month.

Methods for Good Results

So think about what other methods you can use to find more targeted traffic. Which advertising methods can you use to get good results? Can you do things for free which don’t take much effort to get up and running? Even if you have to tweak them or do a little regular work every now and again to keep them working, it’s worth it if you get a lot of visitors in return who are genuinely interested in what you do.

However successful you are at the moment, targeted traffic can get you to the next level of online success. All you need to do is sit down and work out how you are going to get there.

Have a most outstanding day.
