When trying to make money online, who you know can often impact your success levels. If you have online friendships, make the most of them! Here are some things you can do:

  1. Ask for a blogroll exchange. You link to them, they link to you.
  2. Ask for Stumbles, Diggs, etc. when you write a great post.
  3. Consider doing a joint venture where you work together to promote a product and split profits.
  4. Ask them to Tweet about you on Twitter. Re-tweeting your tweets or telling people you’re a great person to follow can be helpful.
  5. Ask for a testimonial for your sales page  and / or review of your product on their site linking back to your site.

As you can see there are a lot of things your online friends can do for you. They can also share tips and advice and be a sounding board for you at times as well. Don’t forget to reciprocate and do things for them as well. Through mutual back scratching with online friends we can all be more successful.  The more online friendships you have, the better! Need to make more online friends? We’ll talk about that tomorrow!

Have a most outstanding day.

Finding People to Trade Links With

trade linksIf you operate a blog or website either as your primary earnings method or as an addition to your money making ventures you might consider trading links with someone in your niche that has a complimentary product or service.  You can trade links and help one another with SEO. It’s a great idea to trade blog comments and even write guest posts for each other.

Why Trade Links?

Getting links on other related blogs in cyberspace and related blog links on your blog as well can help you with your SEO and can contribute to increased page rank with search engines. The more you’re plugged into topics and linked, the the more relevant search engines will view your site as being.

Places to Find Other Bloggers in Your Niche

Blog Catalog is a great place to find bloggers in your niche. Search on a tag (category) related to your own niche and you’ll find others in that category that you can visit. You can also send private messages to others to suggest that you trade blog links with them in your blogroll.

Consider visiting forums and putting up requests for trading links as well. Webmaster forums or forums in your particular niche can be a great place to get ideas and find bloggers to do blog carnivals and niches with.

By commenting on other blog (especially those in your niche) you can do some great things. Here are a few things you can accomplish:

Find More Subscribers

When you comment on a blog, you’ll leave a link to your own blog. People interested in what you have to say will probably come by to see what else you have to say. Write interesting and helpful comments.

SEO

Search engines like to index you when they find you in your niche so if you’re a diet blogger and want to be known that way, comment on blogs in that niche with a link back to your site and this will help your search engine rankings.

Blogroll

blog commentsMany bloggers will put frequent commenters on their blogroll which can bring you plenty of visitors as well. There are some great new widgets as well in tools like Blog Catalog and MyBlogLog as well as avatar sites that let you leave your logo or face on the blog which can help bring you more exposure and entice visitors to that blog to stop by and visit you.

Reciprocating Commenters

It’s good blogging etiquette to visit blogs where people have taken the time to comment. If you do, chances are the blog owner could stop by your blog to return the favor and that can bring more activity and self-promotion to your own blog in terms of comments and links.
