Are You Submitting To Article Directories Yet?

SEOArticle marketing is a great way to do many things for your online business. It is like killing three birds with one stone because it can bring you people and it can help you with search engine traffic as well as help you encourage others to spread your message in a viral way.

Article directories like E-zine Articles will let you join for free and write an interesting article for submission to their site. This article has a resource box that will let you link the article back to your site.  This helps humans and search engines.

Human Visitors:

You can generate website traffic. People will read your well-written article that’s written with a slant to encourage them to visit your site. They could buy what you’re selling after visiting you.

Search Engines:

Search engines will see the sprinkling of relevant keywords in the article that point to your site and this will help you with your search engine optimization. The keywords you optimize for should be anchored text with html in your resource box and point to your site.

Guest Posting:

When you submit to these types of article websites you’re giving others free use of your article with the rule that they need to keep your article original and include your links. By writing an interesting article, you’ll get increased exposure because others will publish your article on their site.

There are many article submission sites available to choose from. Some have varying rules about links and content so read the terms of service and consider posting a few articles a week as part of your self promotion and SEO efforts.

Have a most outstanding day.

it is not an easy task to do. you need a lot of time to write and submit your articles to article directory. it is best to try other method to promote/drive traffics to your website

Thanks for the feedback, Syed. In my opinion, there are so many areas and tools you can use to promote your site. Article marketing can be a bit time consuming but can definitely give you some great results.

That is an area I have neglected so far as I am still practicing my writing skills ;) But I will take the jump pretty soon.

Is it better to go onto several sites and submit similar articles or stay with one to start and have a lot of articles submitted there (to gain a higher status in that community)?

It is always better to use as many as you can but make them unique as you won’t know how much to change them. You could stick with one initially until you get comfortable with it.

Hi Sean,

I think article directories are a great way to gain more exposure for your site. I’m not really seeing the results I would like but I think I need to work on what I write in my resource box. It’s not effective enough. Then again, it might be that my article is not good enough. I’ll have to try something new.

Hi Jazz

I have just got into submitting to Ezinearticles and didn’t think it was that effective. Like you I don’t think the resource box was that good. You are competing against a lot of other writers. By improving in the resource box aspect I think it will get better as I have seen some articles on there that I wouldn’t touch with a barge pole

Hi Gee,

Me too. Sometimes I’m not sure what’s wrong with my articles because I’ve seen worse and people seem to be reading them. Of course, I may be biased when it comes to my own work.

Submitting to article directories is definitely something I plan to do in the near future to help boost my blog profile and back links. Funnily enough I was planning to start over the next couple of days.

I have been doing Article marketing for a while now – on and off – and I definitely need to be back to ‘on’. I have done part of a course with Sean Mize – the top Ezine writer.

I also have 100 articles on gardening published too – not relevant to this? – of course it is – you need to take a break from the computer and get outside – and gardening is the best LOL

I also have some more on article marketing in my e-book “A Beginners Guide to Internet Marketing” – which, while I normally sell it – in the spirit of this competition and Sean’s generosity, I am happy to share it gratis … free – so if you would like one just let me know by email. Hey, this may be the first prize LOL
cheers

I have yet to write and article for submission to an article directory. I’ve always assumed, without investigating, that article writing for a site such as EzineArticles was a wee bit beyond my ken. Well I just had a look at some of the material that has been accepted as articles and was amazed at the range in quality. It appears that almost anything that is somewhat coherent can be submitted as an “article”.

So my suggestion is “Get to it and start submitting articles to these article directories.” From what I’ve seen of those of you who are commenting on Sean’s blogs I don’t think you’ll have any problems writing and submitting articles for article directories. All you need is the confidence and you can do it.

I have not ventured into this area as yet. I can certainly see the value in all the advice within this blog. Submitting to article directories is on my must do list!

I have submitted ….drum roll one article! yeah – it is a start and I learnt the process. It is a process which has now become more important to me in my Internet Marketing journey, so I will be pleased to announce in a few months that there will be more than just one article submitted. I really like going to article directories to get ideas for writing my own, so it is time to contribute back (for karma!)

Have I submitted to any article directories yet? no, but I plan to.

I started to like writing while learning internet marketing in the YOTA Forum. We have monthly article challenges and I received really good feedback on how I could improve my articles, which I took on board.

Now I really enjoy writing and I know that the more I write the better I will become.
