Hi Sean

I had not heard of Mixx or Reddit either until now. I am still not certain what a hash tag is and what it is used for?

If you use bit.ly, you can create a custom URL with your keywords Jill. You will find some information on the hashtag and other Twitter tips in this article: http://aussieseo.com/social-media/helpful-twitter-tips/

Hi Sean,
I didn't realize that search engines indexed microblog updates and that keywords are important in this area of advertising.

Twitter, I think always uses URL shorteners in posts but possibly many other Social Media sites don't. Does URL shortneners effect keywords in for SEO purposes? Also I'm not sure. What is a hashtag?

Great article. Thank-you.

Hi Sean,

This is excellent advice and again this is something that I'm not doing properly. I need to make it a habit to start using SEO within my status updates. It's such a simple thing and it will make a difference.

On this list, the only thing I'm really doing is adding categories and tags to my bookmarking. So, it just shows how much I still have to learn.

Well now there is even something more for me to investigate. I had not heard of either Mixx or Reddit until this article.

I will investigate and add what I am able to understand and apply to my SEO efforts.

Thanks.
