A lot of people resolve to do new things in a new year to help them increase their success in internet marketing. If you’re looking at new SEO strategies, this is a very good idea to do on a regular basis. What you’re doing today for your websites might be working but you might want to try some new things, too.
Here are some ideas for you. Many of these ideas might already be in use by you but some might be worth trying and adding to your routine. Self-promotion of your sites is essential for continuing to get good SERP results so never think that SEO shouldn’t be continually worked on!
SEO Ideas
- Article Marketing. New sites are developed regularly but a great one that brings good search engine results and human visitors is Ezinearticles.
- Squidoo lenses and Hubpages. Write well thought out and intriguing articles on your subject and create lenses and hubs about that subject. These can also bring you traffic, bring you visitors and earn you some revenue while you’re at it.
- Blog comments. Visit other blogs in your niche and leave meaningful comments with a link back to your site. Don’t forget to link all your blogs together through blogrolling on your multiple blogs. (If you don’t have multiple blogs yet, go ahead and open some free new accounts with WordPress and Blogger to help you get more traffic & SEO!)
- Blog trackbacks. Write an entry in your blog about another high ranking blog in your niche and you might get an automatic link on their site.
- Post in forums and put your site URL in your signature
- RSS feeds. There are a lot of RSS sites that will allow you to submit your feeds
- Directory submission. Find relevant directories to submit your URL to.
- Social bookmarking. Submit some sites to social bookmarking sites and get some link love!
Something new could drive some new traffic to your blog as well as help you get further indexed so you can sell more of what you’re selling and hit your 2009 income goal. Hopefully you’ve set something agressive for youself so you can challenge yourself and do a happy dance when you meet that goal!

These are great ideas. Again, I’m doing some of them but not all. Do you think this may be why I am getting some of the success I seek and not all?
I need to re-think my routine. I’m clearly not making time for all the activities I need to.

I will be looking at the activities that are set and forget first such as RRS directories. Once I get those out of the way I will be cable to concentrate on the other things knowing that I will already be doing some positive things for linking.

You may probably know by now that I love those lists and here you have a great list with ideas galore.
I see that it would be wise to implement all these ideas into our weekly internet marketing strategies over time in order to get the greatest benefit.
Communication through writing on our blogs and others is prominent on the list of things to do as well as establishing good SEO. There are many other things on the list that are vital for a successful IM business so I will use the ‘checklist’ when I get back to scrutinising my blog.

I like your SEO Ideas list gives me a plan to see what i should be doing, I so copy them and print them out so I can check quickly what I should be implementing without trying to find the post.
It’s great to be given these in a list to focus on. As you wrote – you might already be doing a lot of these things, however being given SEO strategies is always welcome and it is great to revise what you are doing to see if you can do it better.
