Maximising Your FaceBook Account in Internet Marketing

FaceBookA lot of internet marketers are told that FaceBook is a great way to increase their earnings.  Do you have an account yet?  If you do, you might not be doing much with it because you’re not sure how to capitalise on FaceBook. Here are some helpful tips for you:

Internet Marketing With FaceBook

-Targeted FaceBook ads.  By doing ads for your product or service, FaceBook will match it contextually to let people who show an interest in your keyword see your ad.

-Create a group about your product or service and people will join. You’ll post interesting information about that topic and have discussions on the group about it.  Occasional links or product launches on the group could work well in your favour. Don’t make it just about the linking though, offer valuable information and socialise in order to build online friendships which make people more receptive to advertising later on.

-Create FaceBook pages and profiles to generate interest and backlinks to your own website

-Share photos, blogs, videos with your friends list and occasionally share something advertising driven.

-Use FaceBook’s applications like Twitter updates, FriendFeed and MySpace to show your other profiles and statuses on your FaceBook page.  People who visit your profile will see these things and may click/buy/subscribe.

Social media is about socialising but a popular personality on these sites can use it for customers as well. You’ll need to strike the right balance between marketing and friending people in order to achieve success. If you find the right mixture because of your sparkling personality and because you have a great product / service you could find that tools like these are a goldmine!

Have a most outstanding day.

Hi Sean,

I am on Facebook but I’m not maximizing its potential. I will make more of an effort to make the most of Facebook because I see the possibilities. I think a great place to start would be to set up a fan page.

Hi Sean

I am on Facebook and have setup a couple of fan pages. They are going great.
I didn’t know that you could have your profile from other sites on there though.

Man social media rocks.

I have just set up a facebook page for my topic but am definately not using it to its full potential. I guess as I get better at internet marketing all these tools will become second nature to me.

Thanks for this link too, Sean. Just looking at the group concept but I think perhaps creating a fan page would be even better. Does a group and a fan page work in conjunction together or do they have two different purposes?

Just been in and had a wee dabble and have been able to create myself a fan page. Once really sure what I was doing so just pushed buttons. I’ll have to add some info in there now so I can use it to maximise my facebook account in internet marketing.

Another string for my growing social media bow.

Hi Sean,
For a long while I knew about Facebook but wouldn’t join. When new to the internet I thought it a security risk to be known. I have a different outlook now since becoming interested in Internet Marketer and realize it’s important to be known.

Now I see exposure as a good thing because I have learned that it’s good to be known and Facebook is good for meeting new like minded people.

Hi Sean

I think it is a great idea to advertise and market on facebook and I can see how this method would work really well as long as you kept a really fine balance between socialising and selling.

At this time I have too many things on my agenda but I am considering utilising Facebook in the future.

Thankyou for the information Sean.

Now to put it all together! Thanks Sean.

I have a facebook fanpage for my business and have used what’s called “Love Link” to bring people to my page. It’s networking with others where you become fans with each other. I’m only 12 fans short of 500 fans. Unfortunately it hasn’t brought me much in sales. But, that may be because I’m not using it to it’s full potential.

I have to say I hadn’t thought about creating a group and add topics to create discussion. Good way to involve people and maximise the use of facebook.

This is certainly something to put on the agenda of things to do. Until this comp, my Facebook activity was merely occasional, and then just to add the odd remark to a friend or two. Oh, plus pay poker! Forgot that!

I was wondering is there are any stats regarding a comparison between FB ads and Adsense – e.g. costs per click, CTR etc

A lot of good tips on maximising your FaceBook account in Internet Marketing. From what I’ve read it appears that Facebook Fan Pages may be a bit more flexible and useful than Facebook Groups. Unfortunately, there is no easy way to transfer info from a Group to a Fan Page.

One of the items on my ToDo list, which I’ll hopefully get into my Time Management system for execution after the Learn and Earn competition is to set up a Fan Page when I also already have a Group for the same item. The trick then will be to get friends to move to the new location. I’ll have to see how it goes.

Have facebook – some friends :-) , have some fanpages – no friends :-(

Facebook is doing really well at becoming user friendly and is a lot easier to use than some other platforms. I need to share some photos of myself and not just pop in and out like I have been!

I have been using it a lot at the moment to promote my network of fiends website posts.
