I want to learn more about Google Analytics and how to interpret the results better. I know there is some fantastic stuff on the YOTA forum which I will be investigating in the near future.

Being blind about what your website is doing is not clever! Observing and tweaking is much better! At the moment my websites are young – so i am waiting for the information to be collated.

WordPress stats will give you basic reporting Bernadette, very handy for a quick check while you are logged in. Analytics on the other hand goes more into depth

Hmm. WordPress Stats – I hadn’t really too much notice to see that. I do use Google Analytics so will be good to see what different things it may pick up on.

I’ll keep tapping till I strike that keyword goldmine.

Hi Don,

By analysing your statistics you can also see if your keyword research is right or wrong. If your stats show that people are accessing your site by the keywords you want it ranked for; you’re doing a great job.

If they’re accessing your site by strange terms, then you know you’ve got some work to do. Either way, it’s valuable information.

Analysing your statistics may actually show you how to tap into a keyword goldmine. Those statistics will show you what keywords are being used in searches that result in people visiting your site. It is up to you to then take that information and employ it to improve content on your blog. Knowing and using the keywords in your content can lead to better LSI.
