I have become very good at designing web pages and when I started to blog I was a little concerned about not having the top navigation bar. Now that I am using categories effectively, I am really happy with the look and think it is a lot neater and easier to use…..not going back!

But its a good point! A good way to learn how to space both your text and various content is to review some blogs you like, and see what is it about them that attracts you – one thing I bet is the ease with which you can scan and find the good points easily. And, that they are are in topic sections – which allows you to choose what and when to read at your leisure.

Breaking up your blog is hard to do! That certainly is an understatement if you are trying to take an existing blog that just grew and organize it in new sections. The ideal approach of course is to plan out the sections of your blog before you start to write anything. Advance planning certainly can reduce the pain you’ll feel in the future when you realize you have to create section to make your blog more user-friendly and useful.

Also using categories or popular posts listings helps readers get to what they want instead of wading through a lot of material.

Writing in scannable short paragraphs also aids this method

This is very good advice. I was just thinking about my blog categories as since I started this competition and all the information I have read, I have been considering changing them considerably.

I would think that this kind of organising on a blog is good to do in the planning stages before building your blog however, one of the great things about blogs are that they are versatile and easy to do a ‘home improvement” on. Onward to the re planning stage for me. Thankyou.
