Yes, it is bad form Gee. The only time I feel it would be ok, is if you are genuinely wanting to test run the product with the thought of promoting it.

This is great advice. Another reason to only be promoting a couple of products.

I thought it was bad form to buy a product through your own affiliate link?

I’ve made this mistake. I haven’t bought and tried every product that I’ve tried to promote and maybe this was part of my problem in trying to sell them.

I’ll take your advice on board and start trying things before I try to sell them. It makes sense that if I really love the product, that will come through when I’m trying to sell the product.
