Are You Promoting Affiliate Products Blindly?

calltoactionWhen you’ve decided to promote an information product online, if you believe in what you’re selling, it’s going to be easier  to sell it successfully.

A lot of people promoting ClickBank products, for example, don’t know any more about what they’re selling than the public does because they just use the sales page as a basis to gather information on how to sell the product.  Regurgitating that information probably won’t get you as far as someone who truly knows the ins and outs of that product. Don’t be a blind affiliate.

If you don’t ‘truly’ know what makes a product great, how can you be a great internet marketing salesperson?

Affiliate Product Evaluations

If you’re thinking of promoting a product on ClickBank, buy it first. By buying it you can properly review it and properly promote it. You’ll probably get up to a 75% discount anyway if you buy through your own hoplink because the sale will be credited to your account.

Through testing it and seeing whether it’s really good or not, you’ll know how to go ahead and promote it. If the product doesn’t do what it claims, you won’t have to waste months of time and money trying to capture converting traffic or deal with the frustration of making money only to deal with  refund requests because the product just doesn’t deliver.

In fact, your review copy is going to be fully refundable if you buy it through ClickBank due to their money back guarantee so there really is no risk to you. If you don’t truly believe in what you are selling, can you really expect other people to believe in you?

Have a most outstanding day.

Hi Sean,

I’ve made this mistake. I haven’t bought and tried every product that I’ve tried to promote and maybe this was part of my problem in trying to sell them.

I’ll take your advice on board and start trying things before I try to sell them. It makes sense that if I really love the product, that will come through when I’m trying to sell the product.

Sean

This is great advice. Another reason to only be promoting a couple of products.

I thought it was bad form to buy a product through your own affiliate link?

Yes, it is bad form Gee. The only time I feel it would be ok, is if you are genuinely wanting to test run the product with the thought of promoting it.
