If you aren’t yet using article marketing as part of your internet marketing strategy, there are several things you could be missing out on.
-Traffic
-Alternate revenue
-SEO
Traffic
Article marketing through free article directories can bring you a lot of traffic through people reading your articles. Most of these sites allow you to put a link to your site in a resource box with a byline so you can do a paragraph long sales pitch that can be very effective at getting people who are already interested in your subject matter to your website.
Alternate Revenue
Some sites like Bukisa, eHow and Associated Content will do revenue sharing or upfront fees for your articles so while you’re building your online presence, you can make some extra money on the side. Some of these sites have pretty decent referral and revenue programs.
SEO
Not only are you bringing traffic in the form of people to your site, you’re also telling search engines that the sites you are pointing to are relevant to specific topics. With keywords, meta descriptions, categories and tags you can definitely impact your SEO for bringing even more traffic your way.
Article marketing is free and effective and profitable and you don’t even need to own your own website to do it. You can do article marketing and affiliate marketing quite effectively. Some online marketers start off doing this until they build some revenue to create their own products and others find it works so well that they continue to do this. Tomorrow we’ll talk about some ways to kick your article marketing efforts up a notch!
Have a most outstanding day.

Hi Sean,
There are some great benefits to doing article marketing. I think the more places I can put my work, the more visitors I can entice back to my blog and the more backlinks I will get.
I haven’t heard of Bukisa and Associated Content but the concept seems interesting. I’m learning so many things from reading your blog, Sean. It’s incredible.
Hi Sean
I hadn’t heard about Bukisa, How do they do revenue sharing? Do they charge for the articles? I would of thought you could just sell them yourself.
That’s interesting about not needing a website. I’m not sure how that would work
Hi Sean,
3 benefits and 3 more sites to join. Learning that there are so many article directories, that they are free and that they allow me to put a link back to my site opens up a lot of possibilities for successful advertising. I am reeling a bit with all this information…but loving it.
I want to create lots of articles and post them to article directories.
Sounds good Jill, just remember to follow the terms and conditions of each site and you will be away
