I have had to really work on time management and over the past month have put in steps like having an achievable to-do-list which Ive created on the computer and print out each week with adjustments to it with daily, weekly and monthly tasks. I have really tried to adhere to it - but it is still a challenge. I am balancing a few things in my life, so keeping on top of it all has become a very important component to reduce stress.

Hi Elly,

I love how you don't make fruit salad; you just put the pear back and start again from where you got distracted. I'm going to have to try this. Normally I'm pretty good with my time management but lately I'm struggling to keep up with anything.

I never go back to where I lost my way. I normally just make it up from where I am at that moment. Thanks for the great tip. :)

I must admit, I haven't used a day planner since I retired. However, I do use a couple Google Calendars - one personal and one for Grateful We're Not Dead. Now I'll have to have a look at Memo To Me and Freeminder.

I guess I better put that on my ToDo list so I won't forget it. :)

Hi Sean

I really like experimenting with time management in order to be a master of my time not a slave to it!

Most days my time management is pretty good and at times it can go pear shaped.
I have learned that when it goes pear shaped don't make fruit salad, just put the pear back where it began and start from where I was before I got heavily distracted.

I print my weekly time charts up each Sunday. I actually keep my week on an spreadsheet and keep to a routine. I stick the spreadsheet on my desk next to me and refer to it throughout the day, keeping an eye on the time as I go along.

This works for me and helps me achieve a lot in a day.
