Thankyou Sean for providing some great ideas to get out of the rut and get the mind juices flowing again to be able to write.

I find I have days where it just won't stop and I can't type fast enough - through to days where the fingers just stay paused above the keyboard, agonising about sentence structure, LSI and an idea!

Hi Elly,

That's a great idea. I'm going to have to start keeping a notebook of ideas. I really hate it when I think of a great idea and something happens and I forget what it was.

Sometimes I find it a real challenge getting inspired for content writing. Maybe it's just an age thing or the fact that I wrote hundreds of thousands of words over my career and now the "well of words" just takes a little more time to refill. :)

Nowadays, the goldmine of topics available at the click of a mouse and the inspirational assistance of "you know who" can readily speed up the refilling of my "well of words" and I find I can usually come up with something to write much more quickly.

See I just did it again. And nobody said anything about quality. :)

Hi Sean

I appreciate this article as I think that when writing constantly, writers block may very well happen!

I am an avid reader so I think this helps with having a bank of content ready to jump out and be expressed.

I find keeping an indexed notebook with me at all times helps. I will think of something or read something and then I think "that will make good subject matter" and I will write only a few words in my book eg under 'W' writers block - breaking through, or under 'P' passion - finding yours.

This works really well for me, maybe it will help others.
