Why You Should Add Squidoo To Your Marketing Efforts

in Networking, Self Promotion

Any form of promotion which is free is worth taking a look at, and if you find a website that is capable of getting your marketing efforts indexed on Google within a few days of joining, you’d be mad not to at least consider it.

Squidoo

Luckily for us there is such a site, and it goes by the name of Squidoo. Once you’re a member you can build as many web pages as you like, each with their own unique URL, and you can use them to promote your website, your affiliate links, your business, your blog, your referral schemes, your eBay store… and anything else that comes to mind. Your marketing efforts will be a lot easier to handle if you make Squidoo one of your main focuses for generating traffic.

Squidoo Lenses

Every page is called a lens, and every page seems to get listed by Google very quickly, provided you take on board the huge amount of advice given by Squidoo and by the other members in the forum. Traffic to a single lens can generate well into three figures worth of traffic a week from the search engines once it’s had time to establish itself, and while you need to make sure you build worthwhile lenses which are chock full of content, the building blocks for doing this aren’t that hard to master.

As far as marketing efforts go, this is one of the best ones you can have on your side. As a free resource it offers much more than many sites do, and while some marketing efforts tend to run for a finite amount of time, Squidoo keeps getting better the more time you put into it.

Just remember this – your marketing efforts here will be rewarded, so it’s worth taking the time to learn how everything works. Once you’ve seen the site, you’ll be hooked.

Have a most outstanding day.

Hi Sean,

I really enjoy using Squidoo. The lenses are really easy to create and I find I’m a little bit more relaxed with them. I’ve started to my lense as a testing ground for writing more creative posts; ones that I think might not be ’serious enough’ for my main site. Generally though, I find them to be more fun as I get to be more creative.

Hi Sean

I haven’t used it to it’s advantage yet. All going on the plan.

Seeing as I just re-discovered that I’d set up a Squidoo account ‘way back in ‘08 I’m raring to add Squidoo to my marketing efforts.

I think the first experiment will be a lense about Grateful We’re Not Dead and our ongoing task of raising money for charities by playing for free around the Ottawa Valley. It will be interesting to see what type of traffic it generates to our original blog and our website.

Ive spent some time over the past month learning how to use Squidoo and investigating other Squidites :-) pages. It is a very exciting site with SO much there and the ability to be able to write and put in questionaires and links for products is great. They also have the fantastic idea that you can have ads in there fundraising for charity – BRILLIANT!

There is one place I wnat to put in more attention and I am really going to enjoy it.
