article marketing tipsHow do you get to be a better article marketer? Here are some tips for you.  Article marketers write articles to get people interested in their product. When you write, you need to pique interest and convince the reader to follow your call to action.  Here are a few tips for you:

Solve a problem

If your headline tells a browsing reader that your article solves a problem for someone, they’ll be eager to read your article. Do what you say you’ll do by writing content that matches the headline.

Follow a pro

If you’re in the beginning stages of article marketing, find a guru to follow and mimic what they do.  Don’t plagiarise, of course but look at their strategies and the way they write not just their headlines and copy but the way they summarise and how they outline their resources box or byline.  If you don’t know how to find a guru, check out a site like www.ezinearticles.com and read lots of articles in your niche. When you find a style you like, read everything you can by that author and dissect their articles to find out why they’re compelling and how you can learn from the writing style.

The power of social marketing

Once the article is out there, use some social marketing tools to help it go viral.  Ping it, blog about it, microblog about it, Digg it, Stumble it and see your sales soar.

Have a most outstanding day.

Hi Sean,

I really need to improve on my article marketing. As I said before, I need to get better at catching the attention of potential readers. I think I’ll try writing headlines that solve a problem. I haven’t done this before so I’ll be interested to see my results.

Hi Jazz

I think it’s a geat idea to write a headline to solve a problem because you are sure to find people will be thinking about what you have written and in their natural curiosity, will be seeking the answer.

Hi Sean

Once again some great tips.

I am on Ezine Articles and have used some of this advice but it was more to check out the quality of ghost writers when I was looking at using some.

I was actually amazed at what I thought was low quality in the writing style (grammar) and yet they got published. I thought there would of been better vetting than that. No wonder my first article got approved very quickly.

That is what I like about the internet. Yes, there is a bit of competition, but you can learn from every thing they do, even form their mistakes. Without the need of financial investment, I just have to take the time and go through what they did. Awesome.

Hi Sean,
A fantastic idea. I’m going to take your advice and find a guru with a writing style I admire and to emulate that style.

It’s important to improve my article marketing skills so finding someone to model myself on is an important task that I will follow through with.

Hi Sean

There are so many really good ideas here. I think finding a guru article writer is a great idea. Reading many articles by someone who is excellent at what they do is a fantastic way to learn. It’s a bit like acting or painting, when you like someone’s skill then you study how they do it and then copy them.

In Neuro Linguistic Programming it is called ‘modelling’ and is very effective if you are willing to learn have learned into action.

Apologies, I meant to say in the last sentence “willing to put what you have learned into action”

Hi Elly,

This is a great idea. Whenever you want to learn something, it’s always better to learn it from someone who’s the best in their field. Or, at least really good at it. :)

I need to start writing articles to become a better article marketer. I briefly browsed though some of the articles at ezinearticles.com and the first thing I notices was the shortness of each article.

It appears that the approach is to pick some problem and provide a solution in 500 or so words, ensure the article contains your keywords and employ LSI techniques, use social marketing to promote the article, and provide a call to action to lead your reader into your clutches. :)

Now I think I’ve got that straight.

A great way I started was how you suggested – reading through Ezine articles! I found it a fantastic resource and was able to get the feel very quickly.

Bach and Mozart (and many more) learnt to compose music by copying their teacher’s and other musicians works and then starting to add some of their own creativity to it.

If you get yourself a formula which suits you and gives you a good article strcuture then it is a fantastic way to become better.
