Today’s internet has a very viral nature. A Viral Article is great when you’re trying to sell something!
Whether you want to take an article on your website or blog or an article on an article directory to a viral level, it’s very possible.
The benefits of this could include:
• Boosting your subscriber rate.
• Boosting your income.
• And boosting your popularity.
Viral Articles happen for different reasons. It could happen when an article or blog post is hilariously funny, resonates with a particular demographic, incites passion in people, or because it contains unique information that people want.
Articles go viral when lots of different sites pick them up and the result is that they send you traffic and help you build your brand and reputation. This is something you want to do as often as possible. It might not happen with every article you attempt to make it happen on, but here are some steps to increase the possibility by illustrating a potential life cycle of an article.
You may have other steps you want to take and these steps won’t work for everyone but the following is an illustration of how one might take an article viral.
1. Write the article
2. Tweet a link to the update (have this fed to other streams such as FriendFeed).
3. StumbleUpon.com that article.
4. Digg.com that article (and maybe Mixx it, Reddit it, and Delicious it, too!).
5. Tell your Plurk, Facebook, and MySpace friends about the link.
6. Write on other blogs or articles and link to that article with targeted keywords.
7. Add that article’s link to an existing (or new) HubPage and/or Squidoo lens.
8. Ask a friend with a high traffic blog to link to your article.
Chances are, if your article is good, people who read it will also perform social actions, such as social bookmarking, blogging about, and sharing your link in their social circles, which could result in those people increasing the exposure by bookmarking and talking about you in their social circles.
Whether the piece of writing includes a by-line to your website, an affiliate link you hope people will click, or some other call to action, chances are that if you also add SEO with strong buying keywords, you’ll begin to get traffic that will convert. That traffic could keep coming for a long time so consider checking it periodically to see if it’s something you should update and add to in order to keep the content evergreen.
A few Viral Articles could get great search engine rankings and be a source of passive income and marketing power for you for a long time to come.
Have a most outstanding day.
