Online VideosInternet marketing is getting more interactive than ever, and using Online Videos is not just easier than ever but it’s so effective that if you’re not using it, you’re probably leaving money on the table.

People can identify with video, and those who want instant satisfaction can see a quick moment of moving pictures instead of having to just read some text.

You also demonstrate your personality on video and a lot of people who consider buying want to know who they are buying from.

Ways To Use Online Videos With Internet Marketing

Here are some tips for using videos to pump up your internet marketing efforts:

Video Testimonials

Video testimonials can do a lot for the believability of your product sales letter. Even better is the ability for potential buyers to see testimonials from others who extol the virtues of your product.

You can solicit video testimonials from people wishing to review your product and from existing customers. You might even get creative and launch a contest with a prize for the most creative / best video testimonial.

How-To Videos

How to videos can be on your site or on another site with a banner for your own website. People thrive on information and if you teach people how to do something they want to learn, you can get a lot of traffic to that Online Video. That video could go viral and lead traffic to your website, sales page or subscriber list as well.

Blogcasts / Webcasts

You can use video to talk to others. Sites like UStream let you use video in a conference situation. You can use these videos to pre-sell to potential customers and you can use it for courseware for membership programs.

If you want to have a popular blog, video blogging is a great way to talk directly to your readers. If you’ve got a great presentation style, you could find that your site develops quite a healthy following.

The Ease Of Using Video

You don’t need expensive equipment to use video online. Inexpensive cameras often have built-in USB connections so you can upload quickly to a site like YouTube. You can also use programs like Camtasia and others that allow you to do screen captures while talking to your audience, making how-to videos quite easy to create.

After you’ve uploaded to a site like YouTube, you can grab html code from that site, which allows you to link to the video and / or to embed the video directly into your site or any other number of websites as well. In an online marketplace that’s increasingly interactive, using multiple methods to communicate such as through text and through video marketing, you’ll ensure that you appeal to a wider audience.

Internet marketing Online Videos can be as simple as you talking to someone or they can be as elaborate as a presentation or television commercial. The choice is yours but it’s important to realise that your video will do a lot for your marketing image so taking the time to do it well is vital.

Have a most outstanding day.

Hi Sean,

I like the idea of using Camtasia to make how-to tutorials. I think it would be a step towards video-blogging in the future.

I don’t really like to see myself on video (ok, hearing is worth ;) ) but I have seen lots of great helpful videos where you don’t actually see the person who made it. That is a great way to start. And I am sure over time I would dare to show myself as well :)

Besides that personal issue I think using online videos for internet marketing is a must, especially if you want to reacher younger people who are so used to video messages.

Hi Renee,

You’re not alone with this. I think most of us feel the same way. I think there are a few different programs that will allow you to be heard without being seen.

I think you’re right though. We’re all going to have to do this at some point.
