Using Free Webspace Sites To Your Advantage

Free WebspaceFree Webspace Sites are not the best option for your primary e-commerce site. They do, however, offer some advantages to the savvy internet marketer.

These sites usually do not allow you to set up a for-profit business. But, through the process of linking, they can become one more way to increase traffic to your primary site.

Free Webspace Site Advantages

One thing about free webspace is that these sites offer all the tools you need to very quickly and easily create a page. Design and layout options, page counters, guestbooks – all of these components are very simple to add and make a professional looking page in no time.

Of course the price is right, too. You are not going to get a lot of space or bandwidth, but the idea is to create a simple page that possibly showcases one or more of your products, or simply offers a listing for further information.

With free web hosting, you might gain traffic you are otherwise missing at your main site. The free hosting site works behind the scenes to drive traffic, why not capitalise on it? Your page can also be included in the host’s directory of sites, ensuring that the host will do its best to drive traffic there.

More pages with more inbound links to your website is good SEO. This is one of the best ways to increase page ranking. As long as your free sites contain good content, the links are valuable.

How To Use A Free Site

If you want to start a pay per click campaign, you can use a free site to place your banner ads on your own free page. The majority of free webspace hosts require that the pages be used for showcasing various banners and pop up ads. Why not ensure that they are for your own business?

There is no point setting up a large number of free sites. This is just a waste of time that would be better directed at submitting to article directories and using other techniques to drive traffic. But one or two additional pages will take little time and effort. The trick is to ensure they are updated regularly so they achieve the best page ranking.

Free Hosting Sites

When you are looking for the best Free Webspace Site, the number one consideration is whether or not they allow you to link to external sites. Here are some of the best hosting sites that offer free web pages:

Angelfire – Offers 20 mb of space, a blog, and link management.

Bizhosting – Free hosting for e-commerce businesses; includes shopping cart and the ability to create a catalog.

Easy Space – Offers unlimited FTP and upgrades for a small fee.

Homestead – Highly customizable, you can also create an e-commerce site here. Lots of functions and options.

Using a Free Webspace Site for hosting can be a good way to focus attention on specifics related to your business. Include good content and an easy way for potential customers to navigate to your main website and you might find an increase in traffic and sales, is the result.

Have a most outstanding day.

Hi Sean,

Wow! I’ve never heard of a free webspace site. I’m amazed by how many ways there are to actually earn an income online. My to-do list is getting bigger all the time.

I was unaware of 3 out of the 4 free web hosting sites. I have heard of homestead and I have had dealings with them. While they are highly customizable and have very professional looking sites. Ideal for an e-commerce site. Worth a look I’m sure you will be able to handle the set up process ;-)

Hi Sean

I like the idea of having a free webspace site that can drive traffic to my affiliate marketing site through a link.

I was not aware these sites existed either and I will have a look at Angelfire and Bizhosting for free webhosting and see what is actually involved in setting them up.

I would like more traffic to my sites and the chance of more sales so this is yet another way to increase the possibilities.

Thankyou Sean.

The caution to not overdo the number is important as websites do take up time – which, in general, is better given over to your own sites, plus the surrounding actions such a traffic generation through social media etc.
