Secret Law Of AttractionOf course there’s no single secret to success as an internet marketer but you can improve your chances of success with the right attitude. The laws of attraction are relevant to every single aspect of your life and if you apply the powers of positive thinking and surrounding yourself with positivity you’ll definitely be better off than someone who approaches everything with negativity and skepticism.

A healthy dose of skepticism is good for protecting yourself from scams but approaching new things with cautious optimism and approaching everything in life with a vision and passion for success will definitely impact your life.

In terms of internet marketing, treating your business with respect and integrity is vital. People will see through hype.  In terms of your business dealings, find mentors that demonstrate values and decency.

Tips for marketing (and life) success:

  • Thou shalt not spam. Ever.
  • Always provide value above and beyond monetary worth when you sell something and you’ll always have happy customers.
  • Treat each customer as if they’re your biggest.
  • Remember that dissatisfied customers will spread more hype than satisfied ones so strive for customer satisfaction always

Finally, get inspired to not only be more successful but to think as a successful person. You’ve heard the old adage, “Dress for the job you want instead of the job you’ve got.”

Well, how about also dressing  for the life you want?

Great tips, I agree that we need to make each customer feel and if they are our only customer. This can be time consuming at times but it is necessary for retention and referrals.

Hi Sean,

I’m really grateful to you for making the download of The Secret Law of Attraction free for anyone who wants a copy. I think it’s invaluable because it’s so important to develop the right mindset for success.

I think this is the first step I needed to master before I could really begin my journey to success. Having said that, I’m still learning to develop consistency. :)

Hi Renee,

I love that. I have a new pair of heels and I’m just waiting for my ankle to heal so I can wear them. :)

In conclusion, giveth thy community love. Thy will giveth group hugs if you-eth will just come a little closer… no, a little closer.

Point is – you can connect & provide a service & ultimately make sales without being a sinner of the internet. I just want to point thy finger and say – “you got to hell, you go to hell & you die”… In my best Mr Garrison (from South Park) voice. I just understand people who think they will make money by being a nuisance.

Sean proves that by providing valuable information is the way to create trust with an audience!

Hi Sean,

In your experience, have you encountered some customers that just weren’t worth engaging? Ones that were unreasonable, demanding, without ethics?

I believe that if we conduct ourselves with integrity and honesty, that we will attract and build relationships with the type of customers that we desire.

There are always going to be some customers that just cannot be pleased, no matter what you do David. Regardless of the situation, I deal with all of my customers with ethics, honesty and integrity until some sort of solution is found.

Hi Sean

It is pleasing that many people are giving really good service on the internet now and a few companies I have dealt with in the past year have provided some amazing bonuses to me without any pressure selling.

Other companies have failed to provide what they offered initially and yes that does make a huge impression on me. I just don’t deal with them again.

Therefore I have always like your adage of giving more than you promised and I think that is a great rule of thumb in showing gratitude to your clients.

I have found in my experience that one of the the worst sins a company can make is not provide any support or sincere follow up after you have purchased their product or completed their mentoring service.

Sometimes they don’t even ask for feedback. I have at times wanted to engage in a companies on going programs but have never been notified personally and have heard through the grapevine that one had just been held in my city a week or so ago.

So without hassling customers, I would say don’t ever dump your customers, they are gold and should be treated as such. You have made many very valid points in your post Sean. Thankyou.

Blessings
Elly

The secrets to Internet Marketing success are essentially the same for all ventures where you interact with other people: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. And Sean has provided a nice list of tips to flesh out that concept.

I tip my hat to the epitome of ethical marketing, Sean Rasmussen.

But be warned, I’m still not giving up my black hat. :)

I think the principle of under-promising and over-delivering is a good way to sum this up. The customer feels special, that you’ve gone the extra mile and will turn into a client.

This post sums up some of the others I have been reading this morning. Keeping true to your own honesty and ethics will ensure your path to success where others will fall by the wayside.

They may seem to be winning now but you will win in the long term.

This ties in well with the article on testimonials – which we can get if we do deliver what we promise and then add more – gratis, and without expectation.

James happened to be going passed a customer’s house one day and decided he might just call in to check her clock (recently repaired) was going okay.

A couple of days ago a relative of this lady called into the workshop with a clock saying the customer had been singing his praises and how nice he was to just drop in and check all okay etc etc.

The extra mile in over delivering definitely pays off and is a secret that can be applied to internet marketing as well.

I watched a video of yours last night in which you talked about your value being what is in your wallet. It really hit home (I had $3.35 – I went and counted straight away) and reading this post today has really added to the reflection. When we were at KMart today I eftposesd $200 out to feel better about myself!

I really enjoy reading your tips for customers to make them feel value and not to end the sale once the click has been made and the money transferred. It is those little differences which in the long run do pay off – even though initially when you do it you wonder why and hope that it is remembered.

Your success is proof that it does and your values do make you an attractive person to be around and listen to.
