Hi Sean,
I attended my first marketing seminar in Feb 2009 and have been to a few since then. I’ve learned quit a bit and there’s still much I don’t know. Seminars are good for meeting like minded people, as you say.

Most important thing for me is that once I’m committed to stick with it and stay on track with a “whatever it takes attitude to succeed”.

During learning Affiliate Marketing I’ve had well meaning friends suggest other methods for similar results. Thing is though, they haven’t shown they have a proven track record that it works. Until then I will just plod along with the YOTA group and keep doing what I’m doing.

I was initially skeptical about attending these seminars as I thought it was just a way for the presenters to try and sell you things, but after going to my first one a few months ago, I now realise the value of not only attending but actually getting involved and even talking to other people! If you are serious about Internet Marketing, there is no reason not too attend a seminar!

I took the bull bu the horns and attended my first event on my own and came away full of hope and excited because I could see so many other like minded people gave me the courage to go on

Just have to make sure that you trust the people that are hosting these events. Hanging around forums will give you an idea what other people think of them

This sounds like a great idea and it would be great to socialize with people I’m used to communicating with every day online.
