Have you recently created an information product to sell online? If so, you’ll need to use some proven internet marketing strategies. Making review copies available is a good way to generate some noise about your product.
By asking respected people in your industry to review your product you could:
- build buzz
- attract affiliates for your program
- get some great testimonials
What you might do is ask people to review a copy and e-mail you about it. If you like their review you might ask if you can use it as a testimonial and you could even ask that favorable reviews get posted on their website with a backlink to your product or their own affiliate link.
Getting others to promote for you works wonderfully in giving your product credibility (especially if they’ve attached an honest review) and perhaps some reviewers could bring you some bring sales too!
How do you find people to review your product?
You might send an email out to your list and do a draw for free review copies in exchange for testimonials. You might also post something on a forum related to your niche.
If you can find people who have other successful products related to your niche for a review and testimonial this is a very good thing as the more positive buzz you can build through people that know how to market, the better!
Have a most outstanding day.

This will be valuable information when I am at the stage of having my own product.
Testimonials, everyone wants them to help sell their products and they are valuable, especially if they are a genuine testimonial. Word of mouth has always been the best form of selling. It’s still hard to beat for getting results.
Hi Sean,
I agree with Jill. Testimonials are a great way to show honest reviews of your product. Word of mouth is the best way to spread the word about how good your product is.
I guess I am a little cynical. I see so many dodgy marketing programs where you can make extraordinary amounts of money for doing virtually nothing. All of them have testimonials. How do I know which testimonials are genuine? How can I make people feel confident that mine are genuine?
Hello Sean,
What a great idea to get your product out there. With the product we are making it is aimed towards children, so do we get the children to review it, or the parents that are using the product for their kids? I have different ideas of different packages for different age groups. Our first product is for primary school children, but we are going to cater for all age groups. Looking forward to sharing the product around with those that will need it, and then wait for the results. Life Is Looking Good this year
Cheers
Lisa
