If you dig through the posts here at SeanSEO, you’ll see we often talk about using article marketing to help you in your internet marketing strategy. Not only can you get traffic to your site, sell something and increase SEO but you can use article marketing to make money many ways.
Once you’ve chosen a niche and come up with a strategy, find yourself a great article directory. There are many to choose from but Ezinearticles is a great pick. Once you read the terms and understand the process you can submit your articles.
But what next? Do you just wait for traffic to roll in?
That can work out ok but if you promote your articles, even better! Here are a few ways you can do that:
Kick Your Article Marketing Efforts Up a Notch
- Social bookmarking. There are dozens of effective social bookmarking tools you can use to further draw traffic to your articles once they’re live. Try tools like Digg, StumbleUpon, Reddit and Mixx for starters.
- Add your article links to your timeline. If you’re Twittering, Plurking or using FriendFeed and FaceBook, consider updating your status line to tell those following you that there’s a new article by you that’s active. Some article marketing tools even do this for you.
- Promote your articles on your other sites. Add your profiles and links to your blogroll, write about your article marketing efforts in your blogs and link to those articles and sites like ezinearticles.com and others offer widgets that you can post on your other websites that offer RSS feeds to your articles. Many article sites also offer RSS and syndication for free and / or for a fee to further promote you.
So, there you have it. Once you hit ’submit’ your work is not done. A few minutes spent promoting each of your articles can have some very positive viral effects.
Have a most outstanding day.

Hi Sean,
I agree that it’s important to promote your articles after you publish them. After all, it doesn’t matter how great they are if no-one ever gets to read them.
I’m getting better at promoting my work. In the beginning I was spending most of my time writing my articles. Now, I still spend more time on the researching and writing portion but I’ve definitely improved on the amount of time I’m spending promoting my work. As a result, my results are better.
