Surely doing a combination of selling it yourself and on an affiliate network wil give you the maximum exposure for selling your Ebook? (or is there a clause on Clickbank that they hold exclusive rights for your work?)

Whilst I have been learning affiliate marketing I have been wondering why more companies havent gone down this path and investing the advertising dollars in paying commissions to affiliate marketers who are doing the hard work for them!

The advice in this article is excellent but I feel I'm a long way from having any type of product of my own to sell. Not sure I'll live long enough to accomplish that unless it's my x-rated memoirs. :)

However, I guess I'd be inclined to work on ebooks as a product as there are some areas where I have significant expertise. I just don't normally delve into those areas since I retired. Maybe it's time to pull some old reports off the shelf, dust them off, pretty them up and see what I can do.

I like this article a whole lot
1. Because it makes sense
2. Because I like making my own e-books
3. Having your own products (e.g. e-books, vids or recordings) means your product is unique or at least your unique slant on something.
4. You can get affiliates to sell for you as well as promote it yourself
5. You can list it on Clickbank
6. A lot of it once set up is automated.

Now al I have to do is get 4 through 6 set up! LOL

Hi Sean

These are great ideas for selling a product in many different ways. I have produced an Ebook and am making an audio, video and workbook. I would be looking at a variety of ways of selling and promoting.

I would like to sell my own products as well as be an affiliate for products that I have used and loved. I can see that I can have lots of variety which is one of the great benefits of Internet Marketing

Hello Sean,

Selling my own eproduct, Affiliates or Not? Like the sound of that. I guess if the product is within a niche market and is selling well then setting it up to sell as an "affiliate" product makes sense. I guess it depends on how much you want to work at selling it by yourself, or expand and sell wider. A bit like a franchise shop from the first shop :)

Cheers
