Making Money From GoogleThere are many ways of Making Money From Google. Let’s look at two popular ways that can provide you with streams of income: Google Adsense and Google Adwords. Both of these programmes can be open to just about anyone who wants to make money online.

Most successful internet marketers use Google to their advantage. It doesn’t have to be the be-all and end-all but it is something you should definitely familiarise yourself with.

Making Money From Google Adsense

Google Adsense is a contextual advertising program. If you are a member of this program, you’re given a trackable link within code that lets you display text, photo, and video ads on blogs and other web pages.

Ads that come up are contextual in nature, so this means that advertiser ads appear when they are deemed to be related to the content on the page you post the Google code. If you write an article about treadmills, several treadmill advertisements could come up. If people view those links, click those links, and / or buy something from an ad, you could earn revenue.

How Much Revenue?

Google won’t disclose that as they don’t want anyone to try to ‘game’ their system but once you earn $100, Google will pay you on a monthly basis (for every month that your account earns $100). Many popular website owners make hundreds or even thousands of dollars a month via Google Adsense.

Making Money From Google Adwords

Opposite to Google Adsense is Google Adwords. Adwords is the program that actually funds Adsense. If you are a company that wants to display ads online, you can set up a Google Adwords campaign and pay Google every time certain actions happen with your advertisements.

Your ads can display on search engine results based on keywords and phrases, on people’s websites, blogs, and community forums, and even on places like RSS feeds, Google Mail (Gmail), and on people’s mobile phone, too. Google shares the revenue with publishers in the Adsense programme. You can gain a lot of exposure to your potential target customer.

But wait…how is Making Money From Google possible if you’re paying for those ads?

The Google Adwords program can be used for affiliate marketing. So, if you bid on particular keywords and phrases, you could capture traffic of people who want to purchase something (or who could be persuaded to do so). If you pay for a Google Adwords click at $0.25 and then make a commission of $20.00 from an affiliate sale, you’ve just earned $19.75.

A lot of Internet marketers get quite wealthy from advertising on Google. Whether you have your own product you want to advertise or you want to advertise as an affiliate, this could be a good way to go. There’s a risk and there’s a learning process to maximising success on the program so learning about PPC campaigns before jumping into an Adwords campaign is very important.

Google provides a number of tools that either pay you directly or that help you make money through other methods. It’s definitely to your advantage to look to the big G to help you with your online entrepreneurial pursuits.

Have a most outstanding day.

Hi Sean

Thank you for explaining the difference between Adwords and Adsense. I would be very happy to have Adsense added to my blogs as they will always relate to my content.

At this stage I am very interested in using adsense on my LCM blogs which I will be setting up after the competition.

Thank you
