Building a list takes effort. Most new internet marketers build a list based on a particular product that they’ve got in mind to sell their customers. Building a list should be something that’s done not just with a single goal (selling a specific product) in mind, though.
When building a list, it’s a good idea to think long-term. Once someone has bought from you once, they’re much more likely to buy from you again in the future, especially if you sell something that they get value out of.
As you work on monetising your email list, you should be on the lookout for future products to sell to your list as well. These might be complimentary products or might be something a little different but that would appeal to the same audience. Here are some tips to follow when Introducing A New Product:
Tips On Introducing A New Product To Your List
• The right timing is important – Don’t just throw something out there for your list. Take the time to think about the timing and relevancy of Introducing A New Product to your list. If the timing doesn’t seem right, you can take the time to launch it in a way that creates a perfect timing scenario.
• Slowly launch the new product – A product launch often works best when people are gradually introduced to something. Take your time to position a product before you introduce it.
• Teaser info helps – You might talk before the launch about something exciting that’s coming down the pipeline, for instance and build anticipation. Present hints throughout a few issues of your mailing in advance.
• Offer bonuses – When you introduce something to your mailing list, they are more likely to buy if there are bonuses, such as products of your own that go along with it. A special report might be the perfect item to add in as a bonus.
• Detail a product review of the item – When people trust you and you share how a product impacts your own business (or your life), you’ll be more likely to convert more customers.
• Create urgency – Offering a bonus that has an expiry date is important. If a product is only available for a limited amount of time, that’ll help people move on it as well.
There are many of ways of successfully Introducing A New Product. Whether you just want to make a sale or want to change the direction of your business, a careful strategy that suits your target market will bring you the most success.
Have a most outstanding day.

Thanks for this Sean it’s quite timely for us because we’re doing a slow launch of a product we’ve just completed.
All The Best

Well Sean, this is certainly an area in which you have had great experience and success. I’d say you’re qualified to talk about this topic
Hi Sean,
I’m not at the stage where I’m looking to introduce a new product. I’ve always thought that you should only use one affiliate product per site. But, do you mean that it’s possible to add another complementary product to your site? This way you’d be marketing both to your list.
Or, do you mean that you wait until sales become stagnant with the old product and then introduce the new one? Is it a natural progression to move from one product to the next?
The product does not necessarily have to be anything to do with your current site Jazz. It could be a new sales page you have set up, or someone elses product that you have formed a joint venture with etc.
Hi Sean,
Time has moved on. It demonstrates how quickly we are learning about your strategies to introducing a new product.
Without this information I’m the marketer who would “just throw something out there” to my list without giving proper consideration to timing or to product appeal. Like Jazz I also do not know when the timing is right to introduce a new product. The Aussie Internet Marketing Blog is very helpful to me for making the correct Internet Marketing decisions.
