Australian Internet Marketing

All people have a specialty of some kind. When it comes to the way we make a living, many of us don’t actually work with our vocation of choice. Mine is one of choice and I’m proud to say so. I call it Australian Internet Marketing. It’s a very open area that covers a large range of choices. Some specialize in Google Adwords or “PPC”, whereas others are simply marketing other people’s products. In my case, that is how I established myself in the field of Australian Internet Marketing: As an affiliate marketer.

Marketing Respect

Internet Marketing is not necessarily a vocation that commands a lot of respect. There are not many good Australian Marketers around and many are plain butchers on their field. Another description would be “Cowboys”. The reason is that it requires no formal education or qualifications to enter the field of Internet Marketing. Anyone can get started and while that is good it also allows any old cowboy to get involved and “butcher the trade” so to speak.

Internet Marketing Gurus

I see many established Internet Marketing Gurus flog off outdated and useless strategies that they no longer use themselves. Is it a pattern in this industry? I don’t know! What I do see though is that some Internet Marketers, who still sell products themselves, will only sell the ideas and strategies that they no longer use for marketing. That is an established pattern in Australian Internet Marketing as much as anywhere else. Some are genuine, others are no more but glorified sales people who operate online instead of “out of a car yard”.

Selling Shovels To Gold Diggers

Then there are other Internet Marketers that only educate. They made themselves a name as someone that got good results online and now make money online from educating others. That is coming from credibility in my eyes. Keep in mind that selling the “selling strategies” is the biggest market online. It’s like selling shovels to the Gold Diggers during the gold rush. The richest people during the gold rush were the people selling tools and clothes. Levi Strauss is a name that comes to mind.

Of course, then there are the others that never got any results online except for selling ideas. All their online success (read online sales) come from selling Internet Marketing Education and the ideas around it. It is not necessarily wrong, but can be very deceptive if all they deliver in their testimonials is sales figures from them selling their education to you.

Australian Internet Marketing is no different

I categorize Australian Internet Marketing in four groups:

1. Internet marketers with real results that sell the genuine article.
2. Internet marketers with real results that sell old outdated ideas.
3. Internet marketers without real results that only ever sell education.
4. Internet marketers that have real results, that sell education and still get real results.

I classify myself in the last category with a clear conscience (#4).

When I was establishing myself in the field of Australian Internet Marketing, I became a customer of those guys that sell the crap outdated strategies. I admit that I learned a lot from it. Unfortunately, they were not forthcoming about selling Black-Hat Strategies that should not be used in Internet Marketing. I found that out and have moved on to keeping things clean. I cost me a lot of wasted time and effort but I did however weed out the good marketing strategies and, without mentioning any names, learned a few clean tricks from those Internet Marketing Gurus.

Most of those guys are still around. I laugh at some of those very same programs I bought 4 years ago that still sell today. What can I say?

Australian Internet Marketing is one of my passions. I’m starting to take my business international now and have made high-end sales in countries like Zimbabwe, South Korea, Japan, Canada, USA, UK, Norway, Brazil… the list goes on. Internet Marketing truly has no boundaries. It has opened up my horizons and I’m loving every minute of it.

My Biggest Result In Internet Marketing

I marketed one Australian company to the stage that they dominated their niche for a short time. I used Internet Marketing to personally produce over $M7 in sales for that company. I single-handedly produced more than 1 in every 6 sales that company made in their 12 year history and I was only involved for less than 4 years. That is the power of Internet Marketing and I’m proud to say that I did it as a global Australian. I am constantly approached by competitors of the above company to compete against them. They know I can market them out of their field, but fortunately for them I am a very loyal person.

Shame there are to many disloyal people in the wealth creation field. I would be happy to deliver some free lessons on Ethics, Integrity and Loyalty – but I’m afraid they won’t learn from it.

My Advice For Your Success

My one piece of advice for anyone that wants to get established in my field of Australian Internet Marketing is this: Make sure you get paid. As a marketer with ethics, integrity and loyalty, I trust people a lot and normally don’t believe that anyone will blatantly tell a lie to your face. Unfortunately, that is not always the case when you deal with entrepreneurs who are motivated by money. I have been the victim of unhonored payments on many occasions and it sometimes makes me wonder how some of these people sleep at night. Fortunately, I have made large commissions as an Internet Marketer, but I would like to be paid the money that people give you their word they will pay you and even shake your hand on.

It seems the Australian honesty of the old days has disappeared in those few people. But I will move on and deal with the real Australian’s that know the true value of a mans word.
