Here’s a quick video on How To Get A Gravatar. I see many people comment on blogs without any type of Avatar, so I hope this video will help persuade more blog commenters to sign up for Gravatar (a free service) and put a face to their name
How To Get A Gravatar
I hope this helps. I look forward to seeing your face, picture or cartoon next to your comments very soon. Enjoy your new Gravatar!

Hi Sean
I would prefer you to include this blog in the competition as well
I need all the help I can get to try to catch Jazz
Haha. Poor Jazz. The hunt is on.
Yes please Sean include this site
Sean it would be a privilege to comment on your blog Sean seo .com
Hi Sean,
Gravatar is there, tks for the video.
Regarding the competition I think we need the second website, otherwise front runner Jazz will be stopped in her tracks, which wouldn’t be fair.
So – let’s add this site. Also it means we will read up on Internet Marketing
Hi Man With No Name, let’s see what Jazz is made of. Bring it on!
Jazz seems to be a target. targets are also known as “Goals”.
Yeah my goal is very definite for the next little while… until about June
Hello Sean,
Please count my vote as Yes. With opening and including this site we are able to learn more about the internet and the competition heats up.
Thanks
Lisa
Sean
Please do include seanseo.com in the comment competition. I will get busy tonight and try to find some relevant and interesting things to comment on.
I can see you have been busy already Dobbs. Nice Gravatar, by the way!
Thanks for the Gravatar Video, Sean.
Your right it makes it much easier to identify other commenters.
I think we should add this site to the competition, I have been wanting to get back and read some more articles from this site, but have been to busy with everything else.
So it would be ideal way to combine the two, and learn more about Internet Marketing.
Great Webinar too, by the way.
Thanks Cade. Will I see you in Melbourne on Saturday?
Sean,
I know there already has been an event in Brisbane. I took a look at the schedule and I noticed one for July. Is that correct?
If the schedules says so, there is one then. I am not guaranteed to be there though.
Identifying people with Gravatars is really nice, from the point of views of both parties.
I would be happy to have SeanSeo included in the competition. There is such a wealth of knowledge in this blog, and I know I can only benefit when perusing and studying the posts.
It sure is Jo. It’s nice to see everyone’s gorgeous face! And you are gorgeous!
Hi Sean,
Yes, please include this blog in the competition. I’ve learned so much from seanrasmussen.com that would have taken me a lot longer to learn without the competition.
If reading and commenting on this blog will do for my Internet Marketing knowledge what your Mindset Mastery series has done for my mindset; I am going to be a very happy Internet Marketer.
Jazz, you are remarkable. Not only have you posted so many comments, I have read a lot of them and they are genuinely high quality comments. It looks like the vote is unanimous so far so I expect you will get your wish and we will be enjoying seeing your comments on this blog in the very near future.
I agree – Jazz is setting the bar very very high for all of us, not only in regards to the number of comments she places but also the quality. Even if I would come 2nd (which I will not
) I would graciously admit that Jazz is brilliant
Sounds like your throwing down the gauntlet Renee
I’ve got both you in my sights
I would never dare to do that
– it’s not the end of the month yet so ….
Totally agree with you Wal.
Jazz has set the bar pretty high
I’d agree with that Jazz
Having had a quick look here there’s a heap of great info.
of to check it out.
See ya later
Just one word of advice, Jazz, you are not getting any backlinks to a blog. Sean’s sites provide high quality, high value backlinks. You might benefit from pausing for a day or 2 while you get a blog organized that you can refer to in your comments.
If the back links don’t work in commentluv, it is 99% likely to be your RSS feed that is faulty. It is worth having a check.
If your name is not linked, it’s because the URL area hasn’t been filled out when subbing a comment.
Ssssssshhhhhh… not so bloody loud. If we are all vewy vewy quiet, we can go a Jazz huntin’
Come on everyone – get down & work those fingers until they are raw!
Oh YOU’RE Jazz! Everyone is talking about the famous Jazz! And look at the Gravatar of yours! Very pretty. What’s the story behind it?
She is a Star!
Sean
There seems to be a trend developing here
LOL. I know what you’re saying Gee. I can see it on the traffic stats. It’s nice to have some fun – and I think we are having lots of it!
Sure are. How about keeping it going say until the end of the year?
Nah forget that last bit. I’ll never get any sleep!
Does Sean have enough blogs to support that until end of the year? Let me think – 200 comments per day, times approx 200 … Outch, I think that is hard to handle. I am not sure if Sean has that many posts. But we can go back and comment on the comment of others as well
Thanks for the video Sean – done and done.
You’re welcome, Cemil. Nice Gravatar too, mate! Great to put a face to a name
Nothing like some good ‘ol, friendly, healthy competition to get people going… Thanks Sean for the gravatar tip. Something I learned in YOTA forum early on. So simple, but makes a big difference. By the way, no CommentLuv in here?
Thanks for that Lina.
I didn’t even notice the Luv missing. I’m sure it will be fixed pretty soon. wink wink
Ok, so I browsed on over to seanseo today for my daily fix of Internet Marketing news. I scrolled down the homepage a little and what do I see – a top commentators widget in the sidebar.
I guess sometimes you need to give the people what they want hey Sean
Sean always likes to please his fans
– but only with good stuff!
Hey Sean,
I notice the gravatar tips worked for everyone and we can see who they all are now.
You’re such a good teacher, how could we not miss on getting it right?
For the record: I do also approve of, the idea to include the seanseo.com blogs in the comments competition. It’s also a great opportunity to catch up on any readings I may have missed out on in this excellent series, for learning. Especially SEO learning.
I love Gravatar. So easy to use. And what’s even better I love my Gravatar! My silly face – being so silly. I have my constant companion on my shoulder. His name is Blue Dude and he is itching to write a blog post… he got a big head after a photo of him featured on a blog post!
When my Gravatar picture was taken, Blue Dude refused to cooperate & as seen in the pic we are not talking!
Soooo in conclusion, Gravatar is dang fantastic as you can display your unique personality for the world to see.
Maybe Blue Dude needs his own blog if he is so keen? Might get some fans for him …
Oh, so THAT’S who Blue Dude is!!! (Is everyone else as confused as I was?)
Hello Sean,
Not sure what is going on because I have used an image and downloaded it with Gravatar. I have been back to check that my correct details of email address and picture are correct, and yet my image is not showing? Very interesting. Will have to see what I can do so that my photo is there instead of the “g” image!!
Cheers
Lisa
Look at you… we can all see you! Everyone is so gorgeous, what’s with that?
Thank you for that Sean.
My son was trying to talk me through it, but this video seems so simple to follow. I am off to get myself a Gravatar right now!
No worries Jeff, looking forward to checking out your Gravatar in your next comment
Good to look up above this comment and see that everyone commenting on this post has a Gravatar now.
Good indeed Wal, great work everyone
gravatar is so easy!!.. the only issue i have is that the email i use with my facebook account is different from the on i will use in my gravatar!.. reason being is that i use this current one in gravatar for strictly business whereas the one thats for the facebook account is filled with notifications and so on.. which i hardly ever read… anyway i just hope that wont be a problem .. im not worried about anyone else winning!. once we complete this webinar at our highest standard and to the best of our ability.. we’ve already won!!
right guys?
The first time I ever heard about a gravatar was from you Sean! In fact, I don’t think I’ve learned about Gravatars from anyone else and I’ve always wondered how people got a picture next to their comments. So here goes my first post with my gravatar next to it! I guess we could call this a test! Here goes!
Thanks Sean
Looks like it worked perfectly Landon
Hi Sean
I have just seen the competition, signed up for my Gravatar, liked you on Facebook and I will see you tomorrow night at the Business Academy!
Great to hear Philippa, all the best in the competition
Thanks for introducing me to Gravatar, something else I knew nothing about, it’s going to be a steep learning curve.
Great tutorial Sean. Made it very easy to understand and set up
thx yet again Sean.. you made that REALLY easy!! (hopefully it has worked.. about to find out I guess.
Looks good to me Geoff
Thank you Sean with no name! My avatar is up!
Okay, my Gravatar is set. Pity it was a big blue Avatar.
learnt something new today thx, now I have a gravatar, neva heard of one b4 …. all over testing it out
Hi Sean
and the web cam wont take a very flattering photo at this time of night (hehehehe). Question….I obviously do need to put my face out there and not be embarrased by myself
– when I take my new photo and change the default in Gravatar – will it change this one – I can just wait and see of course when I do make the change.
Have made my Gravatar (have always wondered about peoples faces/avatars in blogs) – no photos of myself at this point in time on my computer – I always seem to be the one behind the camera taking them
Thanks
Yes, your new photo should change the image across the board Jayne.
HI Sean
This is so much fun. More than I had trying to do the 30day thing for yota. Gravatar was very straight forward just as you said it would be and my thanks for such clear instruction. I am amazed.
My pleasure Becky, great to hear you’re having fun
Like Jayne I have to get an image to complete the task. Cheers
Thanks again Sean, great video on how to set up Gravatar easy to follow & now I am waiting to see if it worked.
It worked….cool!
Sure did Anna-Marie, good work
A picture speaks a thousand words. My flying fire dragon has resurfaced again to say hello to fellow netizens. It is a good symbol I believe. Is it against the rule not using my own photo?
There are no concrete rules Tess, do what you are comfortable with
Something to consider is that many people can relate better to a personal photo, up to you
Avatar up and running…the video walkthru was foolproof!!!
Thanks for sharing this valuable information Sean. I’m waiting to see if my Avatar works.
Ooh my face is now out there…lol.
Thanks for the quick tutorial,
The Gravatar service is an awesome way to personalize your comments and I love the way you can add an image for a number of different email’s as well, this will come in very handy for various different website backlinks.
