I have asked that same question to myself many times. Yes, I see a few bloggers making big money but you rarely hear about bloggers that make say $25, 000 a year. Why is that?
Obviously money can be made from blogging as there are different ways to monetize a blog plus gathering subscribers you you can email them with affiliate offers that they may be interested in.
One of your ten tips is blog often. This question seems to constantly come up…how often is often? What’s your opinion?

“Often” in my opinion would be once per week at a bare minimum Rick, more if possible. In saying that, I am talking about a blog that you are totally focused on to produce success.
You know Rick I have asked myself that question so many times. Sometimes you do go through periods of self doubt. Not many bloggers write about that side of things and it can sometimes seem like you can make enough to live on as soon as you start – not true. It does that hard work and effort.
The biggest thing that I have found is to find something that your are passionate about and blog on that. I know that is something that Sean preaches and I can vouch that it is something that I have followed from day one.
Pretty awesome that you can make money through blogging. Because as everyone knows, once you start writing it can be kind of hard to stop! It is addicting. Therefore its so good to be able to earn money for an addiction!…. (and its a legal addiction!!!)

We all want to make money blogging. I think the money comes when you’ve perfected your skills. You need to be doing everything on this list and doing it well. That’s not an easy task.
As I read your list , I find I’m lacking in so many areas. But, that’s okay as I’m dedicated to learning how to make money blogging. I can’t think of anything better than lying on a beach, sipping mojitos, while I blog about stuff I love and watching the money roll in.

But as I venture around the web it’s becoming apparent that there are some quite successful bloggers out there and whole lot “not so much”. If you say they do I believe, people really do make money blogging. Hopefully I will soon be one of them also. I have good intentions to study the 10 steps here and to perfect them so that the process is like a second skin.
Still not quite sure on a niche, hopefully I’ll have that sorted soon.
This reinforces the concept that a blog can act just as effectively as a website – and possibly even more so – to monetize.
I haven’t really ever focused on using my blogs to promote sales yet – except for my WP blog, but that got disabled because they didn’t want promos or products being listed for sale.
Of course, using a blog is also quicker than building a website page and it is subject to the same SEO tactics – so nothing is lacking really.
I am really hoping that I can make money blogging and so far have had some success with paid traffic and google adsense which I am hoping to icnrease. With new strategies I am learning and a new mindset I am hoping to be able to give this one a big tick!
Of course I can make money blogging, anyone can if you are prepared to learn whatever it takes to become a great internet marketer.
I think the three fundamental components of a successful blog are great content, keywords researched and list of SEO strategies ticked.
