Attracting Affiliates To Market Your Info Product On ClickBank

in Affiliate Marketing

AffiliatesA lot of people sell their product on ClickBank and there are a lot of reasons for this. If you’re thinking of developing your own information product (or have done so and are looking at ways to distribute it), this digital products marketplace manages the process for buyers, sellers, and Affiliates.

Clickbank Buyers

People who buy a product through ClickBank are assured of the safety of their financial information. ClickBank is recognized as legitimate and they allow various payment methods including credit card and via PayPal. ClickBank will also manage refunds for any buyer that is dissatisfied with a product.

Clickbank Sellers

People who have an information product to sell can list it on the ClickBank marketplace. ClickBank processes the payments and sends you a cheque or funds transfer when you meet your designated threshold (after meeting their first milestone of a specific number and mix of transactions).

Not only do sellers have the ability to sell to anyone through this recognized online marketplace but they also have the ability to attract affiliates too. Affiliates facilitate the sale and for their efforts the seller splits the commission with them at a rate you choose.

Some sellers split a commission of 75%. This may sound high but remember that every sale an affiliate brings you is a net new sale and when you’re selling an information product, the more people selling for you the better. Because you don’t have to pay affiliates or manage commission payments, this can be very worthwhile for you.

How To Attract Affiliates

A lot of people sell other people’s products through ClickBank. A lot of Affiliates dedicate time, energy, and even money to promoting for sellers. For them to do that, they need to believe that they have the ability to capitalise on your product.

If you’re planning to list an information product, it’s definitely advantageous to do so through a site like ClickBank that supports affiliates and manages the payment process for you.

Here are some tips for attracting and supporting affiliates:

Write a really good sales page. You have to convince the public to buy your product, yes, but you also need to make the product look appealing to potential affiliates so they’ll want to market for you.

Create a section for Affiliates on your website and provide banners, PLR articles, sample graphics, keywords to use, and helpful tips to help your affiliates sell your product.

Consider allowing people to apply for a review copy. (Those who see the inside of your product can often be more equipped to sell it but do be careful of those just looking to get free products).

The more you can do to attract others to do the hard work for you, the less you’ll have to work to make sales and make profit.

Have a most outstanding day.

Hi Sean,
Clickbank sounds ideal for Buyers, Sellers and Affiliates, to sell or purchase information products.
Some sellers split a commission of 75% with Affiliates mainly because they do all the had work by selling the product. The more Affiliates you have selling your product the better for sales.

I have decided to concentrate on being an affiliate for the time being.

When I am at the stage of having my own product, this will be valuable information on setting up an affiliate program.

Hello Sean,

I never thought to use Clickbank from the other end, as someone that has a product that I want others to promote and sell for me. Its a new ides, but one that will be useful for when our product is up and running :)
It sure is food for thought, having a product, and paying Affiliates to sell, instead of me being the Affiliate. I like how you gave the tips about writing a good sales page. A sales page written the way that attracts the customer to buying can either make or break the business.

Cheers
Lisa

Hi Sean,

I’ve never thought of using Clickbank to find affiliates to sell a product for me either. It would be easier to have affiliates sell my product as I don’t believe I’m a good salesperson. I’d be more than happy to part with 75% commissions to get someone to do the thing I don’t like to do.

I’m constantly learning so many new things reading your blog.

Hi Sean,
I have not started to produce a product of my own just yet but later maybe.

When I do I will defiantly use clickbank I too would be more than happy to have someone else selling my products 25% of something is far better than 100% of nothing.

I have some ebooks on clickbank waiting for people to affiliate to them. I offer 50% commission but don’t feel confident in promoting this as I haven’t worked much on my own affiliate program.

Hi Jackie,

wow, I am impressed that you have your own ebooks already. What is your Clickbank seller name, I would like to check you out!

I would like to put my eBooks on clickbank eventually but I would like to know how to be a great affiliate first and what it involves.

There are really good ideas in this article especially on how to attract affiliates.

Maybe I can do both at once, be an affiliate and find affilliates so that will give me two streams of income instead of just one.

Why not put them into Clickbank straight away and let Clickbank do work for you while you spend your time focusing on what else you want to do.

They might as well be out there – passive income!

This is sound advice. Getting your products or services onto Clickbank is a perfect step to take as an affiliate marketer. Their process is fairly stringent and detailed – so by the time you get accepted, you know you have ticked all the boxes and are ready to go…. after you pay a fee, of course!
